Dublin is quietly becoming an FDE hub: OpenAI hires both Forward Deployed Engineers and Forward Deployed Software Engineers from its Dublin office, and the city’s dense concentration of enterprise-tech EMEA headquarters means deployments to major customers are often a short flight — or a tram ride — away. Ireland’s tech salary levels sit close to London’s, and FDE roles price at the top of that market.
